A lot of you know me from local horse shows. I’m the one behind the camera taking all those great action shots you see on the Hoofbeats page (Sundays in The Pilot newspaper). I’m the Equestrian Correspondent for The Pilot, the hometown paper for Southern Pines, NC. I’m a one-man band – providing photographs, features, and a weekly column. (Yes, I’m also a writer.)

If you are looking for action shots, I am your person. I’m a horseman and I’ve been taking photographs of horses since 1979. Whether your sport is eventing, dressage, hunters, jumpers, horse racing, or carriage driving, I know when to snap the shutter to capture your horse at his or her best. Being a rider and driver, I also know when to capture you at your best. My photographs have appeared in national magazines – most recently in Horse Illustrated (January 2009).

I’m also available for magazine photo shoots or promotional photo shoots.

I’m a member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC). I’m a recognized professional and periodically my work is judged by my peers. I keep up with new trends by taking advantage of the great seminars this talented group of photographers offers.
